It is finally done!
When we got married my mom decided she wanted to make us a "wedding quilt." For those that do not know about my mother, she is an award-winning, amazing HANDMADE quilter. So I was honored that she wanted to do this. Well the result is finally in (only 2 1/2 years late) our bedroom. Now we just need to finish decorating!
Life As We Know It...
will never be the same! We now have a little kitty. This is Martie...he is one of our farm cat's kittens. We decided we wanted to "catnap" a kitten from the yard when we saw we had about 8 new kittens outside. I originally wanted a different one, but this little guy is so fun! I have never had a cat before and I'm starting to love it! He is so funny and cuddly at times! I just hope I don't become a crazy cat lady now!
No worries...Buddy the Dog will never be replaced...

Buffalo
Since we have started this awesome adventure of Buffalo Ranching, we have both been needing to expand our knowledge of them. Chris knows much more than I do, but we both decided to attend a conference in Cheyenne, WY this last weekend. It was nice to get to hear from some experienced producers and see a large operation in action. We were also able to meet up with an acquaintance Chris met in January and pick his brain for awhile. We got to see a "wild mustang" talent show, which was cute. Also, we were able to feed some llamas and alpacas. I don't know why but I want a llama! I think they are so cute, only because they are so awkward looking. They had a whole collection of different animals there too (ostriches, pon-key's, cows, horses, and camels). It was neat. In the gift shop they had a "real" jackalope!!! It was HUGE! Chris just had to kiss it! We spend an extra day in Cheyenne to sort of relax and not have to turn right around and drive home right after we got done with the conference. So we spend the day wandering around Cheyenne. It was fun to see the Union Pacific train station's museum, the mall, the "Big Boy" train and feed the ducks/geese! I don't think I have ever fed them before! I had so much fun with them!!! I felt like a little kid.All in all, life is going well for us here. We are starting to feel like this is home. It has been a crazy month but we're still in love and enjoying this adventure of life!!!
Wedding!!!
Well in September Chris and I had the chance to go to Omaha for a really good friend's wedding. Sara and I have known each other since we were like 12. Once we graduated, we sort of lost track of each other, but than she found me!!! It has been so fun meeting up with her again and getting to know her fiance. Her wedding was amazingly beautiful and I could not be happier for her! She was so beautiful and you could sense how truly happy she was to finally marry her best friend! I LOVE WEDDINGS!!!
Catch Up!!

Ok so I have been a little bit of a slacker. We have been incredibly busy these last few weeks that I can now sit down and breathe! That is the way I prefer my life to be! Being busy keeps us outta trouble! Well I guess I'll just start from the beginning!
The pictures of the little kid stuff are some things that I made for our good friends Cory & Kimmy who are due in October with a little boy. We are so excited for them to welcome him into the world, so I got crafty and made her a bunch of things! 3 blankets, "wee-wee tee-pee's" and applique onezie's! I had so much fun learning how to make these new things! I just want to keep sewing more!
We also got together with some friends from work to enjoy a night at the races. It was fun to get to knoe some of the people I work with and watch the car's go around a dirt track. It was a new experience. Any dang was it LOUD!

Beverly Hillbillies...
Well life is getting busy for us out here in Middle America. I am full swing into my new job and things are going well so far. I am loving learning about Cardiology and trying my best to understand it all! This last weekend we were able to fly out to Southern California for a cousin's wedding. It was great to finally meet people from Chris's side of the family and spend some time with everyone. We were able to spend a day at Sea World (my FAVORITE place) and Disneyland. At Sea World we went on rides, watched some shows and even ate dinner with Shamu!!! That was awesome. We were within like 10 feet of these giants! It was a quick trip but so worth the exhausting days!
These next few weeks are going to be busy! We are running a 5K over Labor Day with Justin & Rachael, my high school buddy is getting married in Omaha the next weekend, the weekend after that Chris has a buffalo conference in Cheyenne and than who knows what is next! We are excited to have things to do and the blessing that they provide! Life is going great!!!

Another Month Is Gone..
Well July is over way to fast. I can't believe how fast it flew by. We can't say that it was an extremely exciting or enjoyable month, but at least it was not bad! We had some fun going to a Combine Demolition Derby a couple weeks ago at the Ellis County Fair, we also petted some very friendly goats. My garden is failing (at least my corn is growing) but I'm learning ways to make it better in the future. We had a near miss with a big tree branch nearly hitting the house, luckily it just scratched the roof a little, with no hole. Chris dug a fire pit out front and we are starting to enjoy some nights out there watching the buffalo play and making dinner by the fire.
I have finished my temp job with Quest. It was a good place to work, with some great people, but I'm excited and nervous to start my new job. I will be working at High Plains Cardiology as a traveling Medical Assistant. I'm excited to learn all I can about things quickly so I can excel and impress them! Being a cardiologists daughter should help a little! Chris is still looking for a job without much luck. It is frustrating for him. We're excited for the month of August to get going. Next week we get a little trip to California for Chris's cousin's wedding in San Diego/Los Angelas! I'm excited to see what fun places we get to go to!
